The PROFESSIONAL REGULATION COMMISSION announces that the first written GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING LICENSURE EXAMINATION originally scheduled on April 14 and 15, 2008 is re-set to AUGUST 21 and 22, 2008 to give enough time for information dissemination of the examination syllabi and to allow the graduating students of the second semester of 2007-2008 and summer 2008 to take the examination.
The following are the qualification requirements for the written examination:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctoral degree in Guidance or Guidance and Counseling
Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctoral degree in Allied Disciplines with core subjects in Guidance and / or units in the following subjects:
- Philosophical, Psychological and Sociological Foundations of Guidance
- Counseling Theories, Tools and Techniques
- Psychological Testing
- Organization, Administration and Supervision of Guidance Services and Program Development
- Group Process or Group Guidance
- Career Guidance or Occupational or Vocational Guidance
The following are the documents to be submitted:
- NSO Birth Certificate in security paper
- NSO Marriage Certificate in security paper
- Transcript of Records with scanned picture and remarks “For Board Examination Purposes Only”
- NBI Clearance
- Four (4) pieces colored passport-size picture with complete nametag
- Examination Fee of P900.00
- Qualified applicants may file their applications at the PRC Central Office and at the PRC Regional Offices in Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
Deadline in filing of applications is on Friday, AUGUST 1, 2008.
