Super Sale!

Last weekend was crazy! Almost all the big stores had a super sale. From clothes, shoes, bedding, jewelry, kitchen appliances and accessories, electronics, computers, laptops, cameras, etc. - everything was on sale! I really had a hard time deciding where and what to shop. Glad I had my hubbykins to help me. He suggested I buy items for our families back home since our balikbayan box is due to be sent at the end of this month and it's not even full yet. If only I had enough money, I would have gotten my sister a new digital camera and my bro a netbook. But I was afraid of maxing out my credit card so I had to control myself from splurging.

What's For Dinner?

Chicken Sotanghon!

I'm glad the whole fam loved it. Even the lil boy enjoyed his share. He loved the soup and I also gave him some sotanghon noodles. But of course, I cut it into little pieces so it would be easier for him to chew it. As for the husband, well, he asked me to cook the same recipe again this week because he really likes it. He says it helps keep his body warm during this cold season.

And who am I to say no to my boys? Their wish is my command. :)

But I'm not going to spoil them with food all the time or else they'll be begging for slimming pills. LOL!

We Missed It!

There's a big sale going on at the electronics shop near our place so hubby and I went there last weekend. And my golly! The crowd at the shop was overwhelming! It seems like everyone in WV are there. We should have gone there a little earlier because we missed the chance to take home a 55-inch LCD HDTV for half the price! It was really crazy. And that's not all, the store even threw in free installation of tv mounts for every purchase. Who wouldn't go gaga with that kind of offer, right? But then we're late. Duh! Early birds get the worms.

Most of the U.S. observed Daylight Savings Time yesterday. Is it easy or difficult for you to switch your body clock? Do you suffer from jet lag when traveling?
~ It wasn't easy but it wasn't difficult either. I am still adjusting until now. And yeah, I do suffer from jetlags. I am not a seasoned traveler... yet.

If you had to pick one place in your town to bring a tourist, where would you go?
~ The Bonneville Salt Flats.

The Bonneville Salt Flats are so flat, you can see the curvature of the earth and if there is any water in the form of rain, there is no real place for it to go, so it pools in the areas that are fractions of an inch deeper than other areas.

When you travel away from home, do you miss it?

Admirable

I admire all those moms who after giving birth went back to their pre-pregnancy weight without the help of any weight loss pills. How I wish I can do the same but it's really hard. I have tried skipping dinner but I always end up sneaking in our kitchen to get some food in the middle night. And I got caught by the husband doing this not just once but twice already. Tsk! My diet plan is not working. I guess it's time to switch to a more effective way to lose weight. Any suggestions?

Motto In Life

I was able to watch Wowowee last Halloween and when Willie asked one of the kids what his motto in life is, he answered: "DON'T TALK WHEN YOUR MOUTH IS FULL."

Kakaaliw. Hehe.

I just hope the TFC Box we ordered will be here soon so I can watch more Pinoy aliw moments. :)

I Want Straight Teeth!

When I had my braces removed early this year, my dentist asked me if I am interested in wearing invisalign. That was the first time I heard of it so he showed me an Orange NJ invisalign flyer to give me an idea what it's all about. And from what I learned from that flyer, invisalign is a series of clear plastic “aligners” that are custom made to fit your teeth and mouth and is worn for 2-3 weeks all day and night to help straighten your teeth and enhance your smile. Well, it sounds promising and I like the fact that I don't have to go see my dentist every month to have it tightened. But I need more information so I already set up another appointment to talk to my dentist about the treatment.
